What we mean by pampering parents while children play

Thinking of that special day out with your children? Well there is often a problem. Usually, what is best for you as parents isn't great for your children and what is best for your children isn't that great for you. Take that fabulous spa for example, well of course children can't go there, or how about that delicious cream tea in a lovely hotel? Problem again. Children get restless and then you end up stressed as you tell your little  ones to lower their voices, and stop running  around or climbing on the furniture. Ok so put the kids first and go to a ball park, messy play area, or football ground. Well they have a nice time, but all too often, you the parents are left standing in the cold or sitting around in dismal areas with concrete walls, plastic cups, slot machine coffee and formica top tables. Our aim is to address this problem head on. We want to delight and pamper parents and children at the same time in the same setting, so that everyone goes away feeling that they've had a wonderful time.

"So what will we actually do during our visit on an Enchanted Sunday Day?"

While you relax on lovely sofas in one of our beautiful lounges, your children are offered the most stunning activities, right there in the middle of the room. You can also purchase a massage and manicure and your children can visit The Amazing Enchanted Kingdom...and to top it all - there's a live show!

Standard tickets include light refreshments and Gold tickets include a delicious breakfast or afternoon tea for all the family in one of our sumptuous tea rooms.  Each of the tearooms is designed to offer you and your family a truly nurturing environment. You'll enjoy the most beautiful fabrics, loads of cushions, warm lighting, antique furniture and fabulous paint effects.

Your tea area will include a lovely sofa or chaise longue and beanbags for the children.  Here is an example of one of family tea areas (number of sofas according to number of adults and children in a group).

Extra teas/coffee/juices/snacks/wines/champagne can also be purchased.

THEN THERE'S ALL THE PLAY...

Whilst parents lounge around on sofas in our beautiful rooms, reading magazines and newspapers (or for gold ticket holders - a sumptuous breakfast or afternoon tea), children can enjoy our exciting play areas right there in the centre of the tea rooms! Activities include puppet making, balloon modelling, lego and construction, clay, and really unusual arts and crafts. On the Easter Days we will run special Easter egg hunts and egg decorating sessions.

WE EVEN HAVE SPECIAL BABY ACTIVITY AREAS TOO (0- 18 MONTHS)

to entertain, fascinate and delight your very little ones…

YET MORE PAMPERING FOR PARENTS: VISIT OUR  CHILL OUT ZONE

In our chill–out zone for parents you can enjoy a seated massage or manicure at a very reasonable price. Children are not allowed in this area. (Costs vary in terms of whether another adult in your party will be supervising the children during your massage or whether you will require one of our trained child care staff to supervise.) Limited availability. Booking before your visit advised.

AND IF DURING YOUR VISIT, YOUR CHILDREN WANT TO RUN AROUND : JUST GO DOWNSTAIRS AND SAMPLE THE DELIGHTS OF THE ENCHANTED KINGDOM

When your children want a freer run around time during your visit then there's our Enchanted Kingdom. The Enchanted Kingdom is a place full of lights and sounds, all manner of amazing things for parents and children to do together. Children can run around in here to their hearts content, do African drumming, perform puppet plays, enjoy sand and water play, make lovely things. There are also interactive games with professional play leaders/actors and dressing up of course!

And if all this isn't enough, you can watch our live musical show (including fabulous puppets) specially targeted for 0 – 8 year olds.
